Nike Air Force Ones

The Nike Air Force 1 debut in 1982, and even though the shoe is made for basketball, it is more of a shoe for “style”. In 1982 when Nike Air Force 1 first released, the Nike Air Force 1 was the first model to have Nike Air technology. In the 1980’s the Nike AF1 was popular like they are till this day.

Nike Air Force 1 was named after the Air Force One plane that the President of the United States flys in. In the early 1990’s the Nike Air Force 1 lost some popularity, but in the later 1990’s and 2000’s the AF1 made a come back.

The Nike Air Force 1 has grown so much in popularity, that their are some online stores that will customize to whatever color you want. What adds to the Air Force 1 craze is the City Series, which Nike produced Air Force 1s to represent Puerto Rico, New York City, Detroit, Phili, West Indies and Tokoyo. Other Nike Air Force 1s were made for Roc-A-Fella Records, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and others.

Currently in the NBA Rasheed Wallace wears the Nike Air Force 1, and his model is called Sheed’s. On the side is a guy shooting a basketball.

In New York, London, Paris, Milan and Los Angeles you can actually iD a pair Nike Air Force 1s. You can choose different materials and colorways. Also the Nike Air Force 1 “Lux”, which is made in Italy and out of Italian Leather.

Air Force Ones are a product of the Nike Company, and were first released in 1982. They are still very common in many areas of the world, and have even become known as ?the shoe? to have in many suburban areas. The early models of the shoe were inspired by a hiking shoe, and although they did not have the perforated to box, the featured mesh side panels. The term Air Force 1 refers to the airplane used to transport the President of the United States of America.

Many different types of Air Force Ones have been produced since the date of their original release. There have been so many exclusives, special editions, and varieties of colorways that not even a superior sneakerhead could possibly have ever single pair. They have been issued in low top versions, mid tops, and high tops, and although their original purpose is basketball, many consumers today wear them strictly for show. There have been editions made to represent specific countries, special events (i.e. ? the Olympics), entertainers, and some have even been specially made for athletes. It isn?t easy to calculate how many Nike Air Force Ones have been produced.

Hip Hop has played a defining role in the growth of the Air Force One?s popularity. During the 80?, as Hip Hop became more recognized, so did the Air Force 1?s. It was typical to see and entertainer rapping on the microphone while wear a pair of his Air Force Ones. Many upcoming artists rose to the top while wearing and rapping about their Air Force 1?s.

The first Nike shoe with Air Technology was the Nike Tailwind, produced in 1979. Once the design had proved to be successful, it was then applied to their Basketball line. Cushioning was a major necessity in a basketball shoe as players underwent extreme physical strain. It was originally created for NBA players such as Moses Malone, and Jeff Ruland, but soon exploded onto the scene and was worn by many other basketball players.

In 1984, the first big wave of production of the Air Force 1?s took place. Consumers suddenly began to change their perspective as they began craving Nike?s ?new baby?. Perhaps because the Air Force 1?s were hard to come by, but for whatever reason, the demand for them grew, and eventually Nike began producing more colorways and even more types of the shoe. The entire Air Force marketing strategy was aimed at the east coast of the U.S. , and the demand for them spread like wildfire to the rest of the world.
